The Vegan Doughnut Company started as a home based, vegan family owned doughnut business operated by sisters Kharisma and Kyra Mayo. After being vegetarians for nearly a decade wedecided to become fully-vegan in 2014. With ourobsessive love for doughnuts, wequickly realized the options were limited in Northeastern Ohio. So, we decided to make vegan doughnuts ourselves. We beganexperimenting in the kitchen with veganrecipes andafter months of trialand error, ourdelicious vegan doughnuts wereborn.
We opened our first storefront in the heart of Downtown Lakewood in December of 2018. The Vegan Doughnut Co. is Ohio'sfirst and only 100% vegan doughnut shop.
