Show me your helmets!

OP Masala Veni, Vidi, Posti 946 Joined:UTC | UTCquote I've just picked up a new Shoei RF-1100 in solid white, and I'm looking for some inspiration for ways to decorate it. I tend to be more simplistic with my ideas - simple stripes, etc. If I had wanted a helmet that looked like a comic book explosion, there were plenty of pre-painted options out there that I decided against. I'm thinking of something along the lines of a racing stripe (or stripes), but would still need some coverage on the sides for visibility at night. Nonetheless, any and all helmet pics are welcome - as long as you're not just showcasing a factory paintjob - I need ideas for things *I* can do myself. |

I got reflective striping for tires and plan to do some lines and circles like the new TRON legacy designs. It's just something silly, the only part I'm worried about is somehow getting perfect circles. Anyone know of a place to get pre cut reflective circles? |

It's funny, I never thought I'd be comfortable wearing a full face, and now not only am I very comfortable, I actually prefer it to my 1/2 helmet because of the wind noise... Red reflective around the top vents and put pointed tips. Also installed a 3M Go-Pro 1080P HD mount to fit under the visor when it is up. What can I say, I am a parachute rigger with a lot of time on my hands. Looks real aviator. Pictures to follow. |

I'm liking this sethward but don't recognise it in the UK. What make and model is it?? Bet I can't get one here, darn it! No-one seems to have said this yet but UK scooter clubs have a history of decorating helmets in club colours - spots, arrows, stripes etc - you join the club, you wear the colours. In the 80's I wore a red base with white dots - looked like a mushroom but our club was FEARED man! These days, plain white high shine open face, with a vintage pop-on visor for the UK weather oh and some Ben Sherman shades! Nice thread guys... |

How is it with wind noise and comfort? I ordered it online (from extremesupply.com). The solid black color is $99. The bubble sheild adds $29. It's very quiet. Much more quiet then my last 3/4 helmet from Builtwell. That might be attributed to the bubble sheild though. -Craig |

I realy liked the Vespa helmet range like this one, but the fit just didn't seem right for me, so I ended up with a simple Spada I've thought of getting something else, so this thread is probably going to cost me! |

Didn't work because I did not make it large enough to fit over my helmet and my field of view would have been dramatically reduced.
