What’s the point in having a fun car to drive without others to go driving with?! Rather than let you cruise the city alone over the weekend, here is a list of all the great options available to build your community of car enthusiasts.

This list is broken down into 3 categories. A lot of the auto clubs allow all models of American muscle cars (classic all the way to modern), so those will fall under that category. The classics category is for clubs that are specifically focused on early model vehicles.

American Muscle

Corvette Owners Club of Houston

This club invites owners from all generations of Corvette and hosts a variety of events for charities throughout the year. They also do regular drives and meetups. Membership fees as of writing are $100 per year.

H Town Camaro Club

This club welcomes all types and years of Camaros and boats an active forum where club members can connect and discuss any specific issues. They also have a Facebook group for both general members and then a separate one for the paid members only.

Houston Mopar Connection

The official Houston Mopar club hosts regular meetings every month and many special events, such as their Annual Halloween Classic Open Car Show.

Mustang Club of Houston

The Mustang Club of Houston, Inc. (MCOH) is another American muscle car group that is open to all models new and old. They focus on the preservation and enjoyment of these great vehicles. This is an active club with more than 200 members who regularly participate in events.

Houston SCCA

The Houston Region of the Sports Car Club of America touts that it is focused on Fun. With lots of events and track days, this is definitely the club for you if you enjoy driving fast. Based across the southeast region of Texas, they keep things moving with some exciting events.

North West Houston Vette Rods

The Northwest Houston Corvette-Rod group was formed by 5 corvette & rod owners. The folks of this group meet at Starbucks most every Sunday morning at around 8:30 or 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m. at 8715 Spring Cypress Road, Spring, TX 77379. It is open to all vette/rod appreciators and runs an informal meetup structure. That means it’s Free!

Sam Houston Corvette Club

This group was founded June 6, 1993 to represent Corvette owners in the Houston area and surrounding areas who enjoy socializing, car shows, road trips and the love of Corvettes. The membership averages 150 families with over 200 Corvettes.The only requirements for membership in the club are that you own a Corvette, pay your annual dues, and love to have fun. Not asking for too much there!

San Jacinto Corvette Club

This group takes the title for oldest Corvette club In Texas and third oldest Corvette club in the world! Founded in 1957, almost immediately after the beginning of the corvettes themselves, this group is serious about their Vettes! Down in the southeast part of the city, this is a great option.

Space City Corvette Club

This is another corvette group down in the southeast region of the city. With the name paying homage to the large NASA base situated in the middle of Clear Lake, this group has regular meetings, street meets and fun runs. They also produce 2 shows a year for charities.

This organization focuses on the best of the mostly modern American muscle, although they are generally open to older builds. They have brought enthusiasts together since 2009 and the org was created by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. You can also join for Free!

American Motors Club of Houston

The American Motors Club of Houston is devoted to the cars and fans of the American Motors Corporation. This is a nonprofit organization and is a chapter of the American Motors Owners Association (AMO).

Corvair Houston

Corvair Houston was organized in 1974 and incorporated in 1983. As a chapter of the national Corvair Society of America (CORSA) it is dedicated to preserving the Corvair for future generations. The group conducts regular monthly meetings and also sponsors or participates in other activities through the year; local and national car shows, picnics and barbecues, races and museum events, and road trips to locations in and around Texas.

Space City T's

The Space City T's is the Houston, Texas Chapter of The Model T Ford Club of America. Ford Model T's were produced from 1908 to 1927. They became known as the "Universal Automobile". They are determined to keep this historic automobile around for all to see and enjoy! This chapter was established in the middle 1970’s. Model T enthusiasts have maintained, restored, and driven Model T’s for 100+ years. They accept everyone!

Third Coast Chapter of the Falcon Club of America

This group is focused on 1960-1970 Falcon and Falcon Ranchero automobile owners and fans. The chapter was founded so that local Falcon owners and fans could share in their admiration and maintenance of the antiques. The FCA is a non-profit organization created to preserve these motor vehicles built by the Ford Motor Company, advance the acceptance of the automobiles, and to promote good fellowship.

This is an association of enthusiasts that meet to promote and share their LOVE of the automobile. Membership is diverse, covering many years and types of vehicles, from ’20 street rods to modern day vehicles.

Houston BMW Club of Houston

This chapter has grown into a social group of BMW owners that gather monthly to simply enjoy the camaraderie as well as all things BMW: Social Events (dinners, road trips, coffee mornings, luncheons & etc.), Technical Events, Concours d'Elegance, Autocross, Street Survival Classes, Car Control School and much more. This describes themselves as a collective network of friends with a common interest.

One of the largest British Car Clubs in Texas. This is an open-marque club founded in 1971 by the late Nick Nichols. Guests are always welcome at all of the meetings and events.They make newcomers feel at home with like-minded MG enthusiasts, no matter if you are new to the cars or a veteran to little British cars.
