2023 Ford Bronco Review | Pricing, Trims & Photos (2024)

The 2023 Ford Bronco is available in 10 trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Heritage Edition, Badlands, Wildtrak, Everglades, Heritage Limited Edition, and Raptor. All are available as a two- or four-door with a removable roof and doors. The Wildtrak is the popular model, but we recommend the Outer Banks. We'll explain why.

Base

The Base trim starts at $33,890 (including a $1,595 destination fee). Standard features include a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, seven-speed manual transmission (two-door), 10-speed automatic transmission (four-door), five drive modes, four-wheel drive with part-time selectable engagement, 16-inch wheels, hill-start assist, hill-descent control (manual transmission only), hardtop (two-door), soft-top (four-door), front and rear tow hooks, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, trailer sway control, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, and cloth seats.

Options include a hardtop (four-door), 10-speed automatic transmission (two-door), 2.7-liter V6 engine, skid plates, advanced four-wheel drive with automatic on-demand engagement, heavy-duty front bumper, brush guards, roof rails with crossbars, Ford Co-Pilot 360, trail turn assist, trail one-pedal drive, Trail Control, and the Sasquatch package. This adds 35-inch tires, 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, front and rear locking differentials, Bilstein position-sensitive monotube shocks, 4.7 final drive ratio, and high-clearance fender flares.

Big Bend

Priced from $37,880, this trim adds six drive modes, 17-inch wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, LED fog lights, and tinted glass. Additional options include tube steps, heated front seats, remote start, and the Mid package. The Mid package adds ambient footwell lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, remote start, reverse sensing system, navigation, Ford Co-Pilot 360, automatic high beams, and a rearview camera with assist grid lines.

Black Diamond

Starting at $40,545, the Black Diamond includes seven drive modes, a heavy-duty modular front bumper, a powder-coated steel rear bumper, rock rails, heavy-duty skid plates, auxiliary switches in the overhead console, marine-grade vinyl-trimmed seats, and rubberized washout flooring. This trim includes the same options as the Big Bend but without stand-alone heated front seats and remote start.

Outer Banks

Priced from $43,450, standard features include six drive modes, 18-inch wheels, LED headlights and taillights, powder-coated tube steps, heated cloth front seats, and the Mid package. Additional options include leather-trimmed seats and the High and Lux packages. The High package adds a 12-inch touchscreen, a 360-degree surround-view camera, extra sound deadening, a forward sensing system, and side-view mirror LED approach lights. The Lux package adds adaptive cruise control, a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, evasive steering assist, a heated steering wheel, universal garage door opener, two additional front USB charging ports, voice-activated touchscreen navigation, and a wireless charging pad.

This is our pick of the Bronco lineup for its modest pricing coupled with a long list of standard features, including the Mid package. It also adds the availability of the Lux package for buyers who want extra interior amenities.

Heritage Edition

Starting at $45,900, this new vintage-inspired trim expands on the Big Bend trim equipped with the 2.3-liter engine and the Sasquatch package. It has a distinctive two-tone paint scheme with an Oxford White roof and grille and Race Red "Ford" lettering. The 17-inch aluminum wheels also are painted in Oxford White. Exclusive plaid cloth seats, white trim pieces, and special badging dress up the cabin.

Badlands

The Badlands ($46,690) gets 17-inch carbonized gray wheels, 33-inch tires, seven drive modes including Rock and Baja, a Badlands-specific suspension system with front stabilizer bar disconnect, heavy-duty modular front bumper, powder-coated steel rear bumper, auxiliary switches in the overhead console, and marine-grade vinyl-trimmed seats with rubberized washout flooring. Options include leather-trimmed seats and four separate packages: Mid, High, Lux, and Sasquatch.

Wildtrak

Starting at $54,375, the Wildtrak trim includes the Mid and Sasquatch packages, a 2.7-liter engine, 10-speed automatic transmission with trail control, advanced four-wheel drive with automatic on-demand engagement, seven drive modes including Baja, a modular Shadow Black hardtop, Wildtrak hood graphics, carpeted flooring, and heated cloth front seats. Options include leather-trimmed seats and the High and Lux packages.

Everglades

Pricing starts at $55,490 for this version of the Bronco, designed for those who frequently drive where it's wet. Standard features include the 2.3-liter engine, Sasquatch package, factory-installed snorkel, 10,000-pound Zeon 10-S Warn winch, squared-off wheel arches and fender flares, and Everglades graphics on the front fenders.

Heritage Limited Edition

Priced from $68,490, this version of the Heritage is based on the Badlands trim with the 2.7-liter V6 engine. Only 1,966 units will be built. Metal "Bronco" script fender badges, leather-trimmed plaid seats with white and Race Red accent stitching, and a Heritage Limited console badge help distinguish this trim.

Raptor

Starting at $75,375, the Raptor gets a standard twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine with 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include Fox adaptive dampers, 37-inch all-terrain tires, and a High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS). There's a greater maximum wheel travel with up to 13 inches up front and 14 inches in the rear, and there's a specially tuned Baja Mode for desert driving. It's also 9.8 inches wider than the Base trim for improved cornering and has an exhaust with Normal, Sport, Quiet, and Baja levels.
